BloodConnect is an NGO that works throughout India to provide blood to the ones who need it. The main motive of the organisation is to overcome the shortage of blood units in India.Being a part of the Amritsar team of BloodConnect, I’ve observed some issues with the way we work to handle the blood unit requests. The team uses an Excel spreadsheet to put the details of the requests. But practically, the sheet is neither updated on a real-time basis nor we can co-ordinate properly to handle the request.
For example: A request for O+ comes from a hospital in the city for a patient, it comes in the Whatsapp group as a message put by one of the members of the team to whom the attendant of the patient contacted. The main task is to arrange for a match. We do so by looking into the emergency donor database made during camps. But here’s where the clash occurs. If someone from the team is handling the request, no one knows until he/she sends a text. Secondly, there’s a big chance of calling the same person in the team again and again by all the team members handling the request since no one knows who has been called. Thirdly, the final status of the request remains unconfirmed until someone leaves a text. This is clearly an inefficient way of handling the requests knowing that the patient might be having the final moments of his life in need of blood.
So office viewer adds automation to all this so that texting frequently won’t be compulsory and the team members can focus on handling the requests.
Note: The NGO’s name has been written as RedConnect due to legal reasons. It’ll be changed to the actual name once the Delhi team confirms it.
I have been teaching and mentoring juniors quite long before I was selected as the Team Lead of the technical Society. The reason I like doing so is the sole purpose of sharing.
I was an IIT aspirant and I still remember how it felt to not get into one. But I still feel confident and able enough to compete with the ones in those in colleges because in the end, it's all about how passionate a person is not what college he belongs to; though the environment has some effect.
That's the belief I wish to share while I share the concepts of coding and other technical skills with all my mates.
Algorithm and Coding sessions take place at 5 PM in the evening on week days.
Session on Game Development: Beginner to intermediate Level
Session on Game Development: 3D Game Development V2.0
Was the project lead and developer in the team to create the official website of the Techno-Cultural fest of Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. The site mapped the event flow and supported online registrations. The process of displaying dynamic data in the site was coded in PHP with the database scripting in SQL.
Developed the contest site for 'Sherlock', a technical quiz based competition in Aurum 2017(the techno-cultural fest of Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar).
The website was designed to let users login and compete with other users to find a place in the rank chart . By solving technical puzzles.
The backend has been coded in php.
The Game was made as a submission for TCS GameOn 2016, a game development contest by TCS on ‘Campus Commune’. The game qualified in the concept round and the prototype phase. But due to the clash with department exams, the complete game wasn’t made so it didn’t win the contest.
Campus Commune rewards points after a success in any of the events. The game earned 500 points.

I had been maintaining a blog named Curiosity since june 2015. I was about sharing the change in my perspective with meditation and letting others follow the same path. The blog gained about 120 followers and more than 70 subscribers.
The blog too was setup by by own in a self made theme using CSS and the CMS of blog.com
Unfortunately, there has been an technical issue with the servers of blog.com and all the registered accounts with it have been seized since 8-9 months and none of the users got any prior information before the company went off.
I couldn't take any backups and all the content was lost.
You can still visit curiousawarensss.blog.com to validate.
You can also visit the facebook page of the blog to read the snippets in the post links.
Here's another blog post which was chosen as the first blog post on the CESS blog.
It included my experience in wordpress, HTML, CSS and a little knowledge of php with online deployment.
I actually had to set it up and design it almost 3 times. Because the domain was held by the team lead of Web Development club and due to no funding by the department, we couldn't pay the subscription fee and each time the site was removed, we weren't prepared because there was no backup.
